I have always been a camera nut, but my real love for photography began when I started taking pictures of my kids in their various sporting activities. I couldn't wait to download the pictures on my computer and see what I had captured. I especially love photographing children because they have so much emotion and intensity and I would spend hours and hours looking through the pictures. It would be safe to say that I haven't mastered the art of taking a select number of pictures at any event....I just shoot like crazy....period. (which has resulted in numerous external hard drives because I can't stand to part with any of them) I would get so excited looking through all the images, and when I would run across a really cool action shot or one that captured that raw emotion....I just fell in love with that feeling. So that is when this wonderful addiction began. But I must say that my favorite part about it all is sharing my photos with others. I love seeing the excitement in others when they see a photo that they love and it brings a smile to their face, or even a tear. Whether it's a mom or dad looking at photos of their children, or the teammates of my son or daughter when they see a great action shot of themselves or another teammate, that is what brings me the biggest joy. I love it when the guys on the football team email me the day after a big game and ask how long it will be before I post my game pictures, I LOVE that they get that excited to see my pictures. I know how important it is to me to have pictures of my kids, family, and friends, so I love knowing that I can do that for others. I have an incredibly supportive circle of family and friends, and I know there are times when I drive them all completely crazy with my camera every time they turn around, but they always smile and put up with me. I only hope that the memories captured in my photos bring them all a lifetime of joy and make it all worth it! I don't think there are any events in life not worth capturing and It's a pretty amazing feeling when you find something that you love doing, and it brings joy and happiness to others.
